MailMe! Pro
HTML form-mailer for Windows 2000/XP/2003 based webservers |
MailMe! Pro is a form mailer (executable - CGI) for Windows based
webservers designed to send submissions from web page forms
directly to your email account. It can be used as feedback form,
user registration, survey, order form or anything else which needs
to be sent to you. Version 4.x does not require a
mailserver to send the message(s).
The included form wizard helps you to create a basic
form. The form contains only HTML tags and can be integrated
with your existing web page and design. You don't need to be an
expert to use the program, but the program also provides features
for the professional.
MailMe! Pro is easy to install on your webserver (MS Internet
Information Server IIS, Apache for Windows and other webservers).
It resides in the servers cgi-bin or scripts directory with
execute access permissions. There are no scripting languages or
additional components required, all you need is the file
mailmepro.exe.
|
| How it works |
 |
The web page visitor goes to your form and fills out some fields
like name, address, and so on. When the visitor clicks on
"Submit" the data is sent to the webserver.
MailMe! Pro processes the data, sends an email containing the
collected information directly to your mail account and returns a
webpage back to the visitor.
The result hmtl page is freely definable and should contain some
kind of "Thank you" or "Information received"
message.
|
Mail Format: The
email can be either in HTML format, plain text or from a template
file.
The email is sent as HTML or text email with a formatted output,
which contains all relevant information together with all user
variables.
It supports required field, email address syntax verification and
multiple recipients.

Installation
(MailMe! Pro works on Windows 2000/XP/2003) |
Create a new directory inside your /cgi-bin or /scripts directory
on your webserver
e.g. /scripts/mailme. Copy the file mailmepro.exe to the newly
created directory. When uploading mailmepro.exe through an FTP
client, make sure you are using binary mode.
Installation on Microsoft Internet Information Service:
Arclab MailMe!Pro requires "Execute" access permissions.
"Execute" enables applications to run in this directory
(.dll and .exe files). On IIS there is a difference between
"Script" and "Execute"!. "Script" is
for scripts, not for compiled programs like MailMe!Pro.
If you use Windows Server 2003 / IIS 6 you need to enable CGI
(Common gateway interface) first.
- Open IIS Manager, expand the master server node (that is,
the Servername node), and then select the Web
service extensions node.
- In the right pane of IIS Manager, right-click the extension
that you want to enable. (Please enable CGI).
- Click to select the Allow check box.
Installation on other Webservers:
Arclab MailMe!Pro requires execute access permission for CGI
(common gateway interface) applications.
Please make sure permissions are set correctly for the directory
containing mailmepro.exe.
Its also important that the file extension .exe is allowed to be
executed
