26-APR-2012 Version 9.02

  • Spaces in the subscribe and remove keywords will now be ignored, so that "Re mo ve" equals "Remove". Also spaces inside the confirmation-ID will be ignored, which addresses a problem with invalid encoded subject lines generated by some webmail clients.
    In other words: keywords are not case-sensitive and spaces will be ignored.

  • This update affects IMAP accounts only.
    The program now moves processed messages to the IMAP folder "Inbox.MailList Controller" instead of "MailList Controller", which makes it more compatible with different mailhosts. Please subscribe to "Inbox.MailList Controller" now if you want to check processed messages.
  • The release date in the "Update and License Managment" section was left  to 08/2011, so that all users of version 8.6 can update to the new and improved version for free, even if the free update persiod has expired 08/2011.

19-FEB-2010 Version 8.01

  • This version updates the mailservice and the editor to version 8.0.
    It fixes a problem with "special" chars (like umlauts) in the filename of an attachment or inline attachment.

    The main program version is still 8.0.
    The service version is shown in the section "Outgoing Messages" -> "Info|Details" -> "Version".

The installation only requires a few steps:

  • Please uninstall the 5.x version first.
  • Now install the new 6.x version and start the program.
  • Select "Custom Setup"and click "Next". 
    Click on "Browse"to select the "data" directory of the previous version.
    The default location is "c:\program files\arclab\maillist controller\data".
  • Click "Next", "Next"and "Finish".
  • Now the program should run and show your existinglists.

  • Please backup your data-dir before going further.
  • First you should export all your lists. MailList Controller version 5 uses a different format, which requires that you export your lists before. A simple "install-over" will not work!
  • Next please uninstall the old version and delete the old data-dir.
  • Now install the new version and run the program.
